Course Request Processes for 2024-25

Course Request Process

Current 5th Grade Students:

  • The Course Request Process opened on Wednesday, February 14.  All incoming students will complete the online course request process. Instructions for accessing the online request process via Skyward/Student Access were sent to families the morning of Thursday, February 15th.  We are asking that all course requests are completed by Friday, March 1st.  If you need additional help meeting this timeline, please reach out to our Registrar, Kris Ellis (ellisk@issaquah.wednet.edu ), who can assist with your questions.  
  • If you are interested in learning more about course options, you can review the Middle School Course Guide here.  You can review suggestions for how to map out a three-year plan for middle school (including required courses and options for advanced course work).  You will also find information about specific courses related to English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education/Health, Electives, Multilingual Language Learners, Special Services, and Online Learning.

Current 6th and 7th Grade Students:

  • Current 6th and 7th grade students saw a video from our MMS counseling team about the Course Request Process during Charger Time on Tuesday, February 13. Directions and the link to the online request process were also sent to families and students the same day. 
  • The Course Request Process opened on Wednesday, February 14.  All current 6th and 7th grade students will complete the online request process via Skyward/Student Access.  For students to access the course request online, they MUST know their student access log in and password. If they have forgotten their login information, they should reset their password and enter their ISD Office 365 email.  If they need additional help, please reach out to our Registrar, Kris Ellis, in the counseling office.  We are asking families to check-in with their student to make sure everything is complete by Friday, March 1st.
  • Adjustments can be made until Friday, March 8th at 8am

Current 8th Grade Students:

  • Gibson Ek High School is now accepting applications from 8th graders in the Issaquah School District interested in an innovative project-based education model for their high school experience. 
    • Applications are open from until February 29th, and students are selected for admission by a lottery held on Friday, March 1st. To learn more, please watch this informational video.  The application is available on the Gibson Ek HS website.
  • Liberty High School Course Request Process and Timeline
    • Current 8th grade students will see a video from the LHS counseling team about the Course Request Process during Charger Time on Tuesday, February 27th.
    • Incoming Freshman Night will be on Wednesday, February 28th from 5:30-7:55pm at LHS.  See the schedule for the evening here and watch the LHS Weekly Bulletin for additional updates.
    • The Course Request Process will be open on Wednesday, February 28th.  For students to access the course request online, they MUST know their student access log in and password. If they have forgotten their login information, they should reset their password and enter their ISD Office 365 email address.  If they need additional help, please reach out to our Registrar, Kris Ellis, in the counseling office.
    • During early March, LHS counselors will visit MMS during lunch to talk with students about the Course Request Process and answer questions.
    • Adjustments can be made until Monday, March 11th at 8am
