Biology Students Compete in March Mammal Madness!

Student smiles with award

Maywood Biology students learned last month that there's more than one kind of March Madness. Mrs. Chang’s class were offered the opportunity to play March Mammal Madness by completing a bracket based on a research-based challenge created by ASU. This year, each division celebrated a different form of human artistry -- performance arts, literary arts, culinary arts, and visual arts.

Students were tasked with finding incredible combatants that fall within the thematic domains of 4 bracket divisions: epic animals (known far and wide and for generations), rainbow collection (recognized by their collection of colors), connoisseur critters (adapted special diets), and take a bow (show boats of the world). This year’s Maywood Mammal Madness winner was Sara B., with a final round win over Mrs. Chang, who accepted defeat graciously, saying "Congrats on your win Sara!"
