Maywood Celebrates Its Diversity at Multicultural Night

On April 28, Maywood's PTSA hosted a Multicultural Night to showcase the various cultures and unique talents of Maywood's diverse student body. Families enjoyed several dance and vocal performances, with treats and food trucks to keep everyone fed. There were display boards showcasing the various countries and cultures represented at Maywood and hands on activities including origami and henna tattoos.
"It was an inclusive and entertaining evening," said PTSA co-organizer Amy Nagaichouk. Principal Erin Armstrong added, "This was a wonderful example of our community coming together."
