Maywood Drama Students Shine in Production of 'Matilda, Jr.'

Last weekend our Maywood Drama Club, under the direction of Choir teacher Erick Price, brought to life Roald Dahl's whimsical tale of "Matilda, Jr." Both performances were near sell-outs and elicited rave reviews from the audiences.

"This cast was brimming with talent and their infectious joy captured the audience at each performance," said Mr. Price. "I loved working with these students, both cast and crew, and am so glad to a part of the Maywood team." This is Mr. Price's first year teaching Choir at Maywood, who also teaches Choir at Liberty High School.

Principal Erin Armstrong added, "I could go on and on about our cast, crew, and staff support, though the experience ultimately makes me so proud of the special place we have here at Maywood – where students can learn new skills, share their talents, and feel connected to a community that cares. Opportunities like these mean the world to students and become cherished memories of their time in middle school."
